Location, by request

Find someone by phone number.

PingLocate sends a location request and shows the result on a map. No app, no signup.

Free to use. No app or signup.

How it works

Three steps on your side. One choice on theirs.

1

Enter a number

Type the phone number, then send the ping.

2

They get a text

The person receives a message asking them to share their location. Nothing happens until they act.

3

You see the result

If they accept, their location appears on your map with the accuracy range shown honestly.

A phone number does not contain a location.

No website can turn a number into a live GPS point. Every “track any number instantly” promise is a lie. The honest way to find someone is to ask, and let them say yes.

What you get, and what you do not

You get

  • A location, once the person agrees
  • An accuracy range, not a misleading dot
  • A timestamp with every result

You do not get

  • Secret tracking of any kind
  • A live trail of their movement
  • A location from a number alone

Common questions

How does PingLocate work?

You enter a phone number. PingLocate sends the person a text with a link. When they open it and accept, their location appears on your map. There is no app and no signup on either side. See the full flow on the features page.

Can you see a location without the person tapping?

No, and neither can anyone else. A phone number does not contain a live location. Any service that claims to show you a person's exact location from their number alone is lying. PingLocate works only when the person opens the link and accepts. We would rather be honest about that than trick you. Read do phone number trackers really work?

Does the other person need to install an app?

No. They tap a link in their own browser, approve the location prompt, and the point is shared with you. Nothing is downloaded and no account is created. That is the whole no-app flow.

Is PingLocate free?

PingLocate is free to use and supported by advertising. Some of the ads are for related services, and we earn a commission when you buy through them. Ads never change what PingLocate does, and we always label them. See our advertising disclosure for the details.
